Joey Rasdien is the epitome of South African comedy today. His endearing
stage persona is intellectually absurd, physically hysterical and visually
beside himself. This belies his other profession… high-level fund management
and financial advising.
- He has become
a face of the new generation… having appeared in many television ads,
including Cell C, KFC, Standard Bank, The ICC Cricket World Cup Campaign
and Sanlam. He recently toured with the South African Cricket Team as
one of the faces of Standard Bank Cricket.
- His other television
appearances include a performance on "Comedy Showcase", Sketches
on "Jerry Springer's Saturday Night","The Phat Joe Show"
and a lead role in a "Quickies" Production.
- Joey was also
hired to perform rap in 4 music video recordings for the Department
of Health for their AIDS campaign, Khomanani.
- Joey Rasdien has
performed a lead role in a pilot for a Donovan Marsh movie and was on

Theatre in Durban.
- Joey Rasdien was
the MC on the opening night at the 2002 Oppie Koppie Pre-Show at Hatfield
Square, Pretoria nad headline act at the 2004 festival held in Northam.
- This versatile
performer was also a regular on Whacked Management's Comedy Underground
venues including Cool Runnings in Melville and The Blues Room in Sandton's
Vllliage Walk.
- He is also a regular
on the Parker Leisure Comedy circuit, where he performed to sell out
audiences at Carnival City, Morola Sun and Dachs in Pretoria.

growing black comedy market.

ever, Joey played second lead in the successful film, Dollars and White
Pipes, an Anant Singh produced South African feature recently screened
on M-Net.
- He was also the
lead in the John Barker produced short film, The Last Days of Anna Van
Storm, to critical acclaim.
- His experience
in the financial industry is an advantage when relating to a corporate
audience which makes him a sought after facilitator/entertainer at conferences.
His corporate clients include SA Post, SAB Miller, Spoornet, FNB, The
Gordon Institute of Business and Sasol, amongst others. He was also
MC at the Golf 5 car launch last year.
