what my goverment has done for me!!!

I'm a lady of 21 yrs old and this is my story. I was 10 when it was the first election. My mom had hired a room for as long as I can remember. She was very excited to go and vote for the first time democrally. The following year my mom built a shack and that where we lived until the year 2000.The goverment that my mom voted for built us a home, they gave us electricity and running water for free.

The gover that my mom voted for funded my tertiary education. Now I'm a second year student at a Technikon and I can proudly say I registered and I'm going to vote for the goverment that worked for me,my mom and every one else. The goverment that I'm going to vote for gave me a chance and now it is my turn to return a favour that MY GOVERMENT GAVE ME 10 YEARS AGO.

Hi Glen and the TEAM

I watched the UEFA champions league magazine over the weekend and as I was watching it, I noticed that all players who were interviewed, were interviewed in their vernacular languages, i.e. Spaniards in Spanish, Frenchmen in French, etc. Now, here at home soccer players seem to be forced to conduct their interviews in English, e.g. in post-match
interviews. I don't think this is on, as some of them cannot express themselves very well in English. Soccer is a passionate game and we need to feel that from our players when they talk. South Africa does have 11
official languages and its the responsibility of each person to learn the different languages. Also, I don't see a correlation between playing soccer and speaking English. Can we shift our paradigms that a "talented" person should be able to communicate in English and allow our guys to express themselves freely?

Otherwise, I love your show, you always make me laugh when I drive to work. Keep up the good work.

Sandile Mbulawa

little wonder...

hi the great one & the not so great ones...

just the onther day i was listening to metro fm and i heard a advert with mzekezeke in it. the man was talking about voting and blah blah blah... made me wonder, wil he be allowed to vote with his mask on..? does the man even have an ID document..? does he have a drivers licence..? no wonder he never comes to cape town because he wont be allowed on a flight with his mask. i dont suppose in his ID photo (if he has any) he's wearing that silly mask. does he ever wash this mask..? the gr8 one, if mzekezeke can vote, then all dogs and cats must also be eligible to vote...

Hola Glenzito.

I hope you don't read this on air because I don't want to sound like
some desperate chick who can't get her own man.

Well this is my story: Im in matric this year and I really need a date
for the matric farewell. I know you're thinking isn't it a bit early
for me to be thinking of my farewell already but its just that I
figured that if I asked early enough you would be able to hook me up with Chippa.

Im absolutely crazy (not in a pscho kinda of way) about him (im his no1
fan) and I would really like to go with him so please try to hook a sista
up. And besides i can't think of a better way to show those "ba
nnyatsang" that I also gots the potential! Waiting in anticipation to hear from
you.
PS: Please don't embarass me on air, Pretty please.

Women chowing us

Yo Glen i'm really concerned about this whole valentines thing. What i'd like to know, is why it even exists? Why are brothers always expected to pay for everything? Why do women just sit on their backsides and inherently wait for a brother to do everything? Remember the day, send the morning sms, make the 'howz ya day' phone call, pick up the woman or call a cab to the mall or waterfront, take her to the movies and DINNER, then take her home, if your lucky sleep over or sleep over the night. Look i study at UOFS, and the women from here, most of them are typical kasi chicks, when they get here they want to act up like they come from Sandton or something. I know women from there, and they don't act up as much as those ones. One time i was really dissapointed at cats being played like dummies. I paid my cussin a visit at her hostel one time, and some cat pulled up in a beemer, and one of the seniors went down stairs and out to the cat. About 10 mins later this chick comes back flashing and waving a two hundred rand note, shouting out 'Ke le boleletse mampaps enoa o tlo nfa chelte'. I was hurt, Glenzito, please do me the favour of telling the cats out there to stop being so ignorant and calling this thing love. I don't mind spending on a woman, but come on, cats gotta step up and really think about this issue.

Raids by Garankuwa police personnel

Good morning guys !

I often hear or see headlines outlining how the police arrested people for carrying unlicenced firearms, dealing in drugs and stolen goods etc. On sunday i experienced one of the horrific police raids ever ! I was sitting nicely with a few friends at a booze place somewhere in the neighbourhood, when a horde of Ga-Rankuwa police men barged in and the first thing they did was to fire warning shots in the air, honestly, i thought they behaved like robbers ! They then told everyone to lie down on the ground, swearing and kicking wherever they could and each word that came out of their foul mouths was followed by the F....... word, saying how they will blow people's brains off if they moved ! To me , that was plain abuse of power ! I honestly appreciate the job they are doing and trully understand that it is stressful and dangerous, but it should be done in a very humane and proper manner ! How do you go about physically abusing and swearing at people when you have'nt even searched them ???????? I deeply want to express my disappointment at the Ga-Rankuwa police personnel for conducting their raids in such an appalling, ridiculous and atrocious manner, pointing out to the one that was carried out at Sba's place in zone 4, Garankuwa, on sunday ! Luckily i got off the premises unscathed but i pity the innocent people who were subjected to such horrendous abuse ! Irony : I ended up fearing for my life, instead of being happy that the police are there to get criminals ! If this is how the police operate, then i'm BEAT ! The show is great !

Thanks,

Kiko from Garankuwa

Solve my Problem

Hey! Glen,Mel,Kay,Gord & 'Bra Fan...My Darlings. By da way I would like to appeal 2 u about the cheating I've witnessed in shopping stores. Last year there was a competition on a toothpaste aquafresh, there were phones that were supposed to be won, the thing is when I go to the shop to buy toothpaste(aquafresh) I found out that all the boxes have been squezed. I believe the people who are working for these shops are also checking these tokens to win cell phones & Beetle cars. So managers must told their employees to stop doing that or'lse we will stop using aquafresh toothpaste. By day My name is Sivuyile Michael Tutu aka Solly from King William's Town eZwelitsha.

Hi Glen and Mel

First of all, I just want to thank you guys for a great show - love it and tune in everyday. Glen, I heard from your show this morning that you guys are looking for a new weather reporter. This might perhaps sound bold - but you know what - I'm your man in waiting. Ek sal vir julle die weer aanbied soos 'n voetbal-wedstryd of imo'yezulu ndinganicazela!! But I understand of course that's in English, which is also okay with me. I'm a journalist by proffession and maybe I can help out in different capacity as well. For a CV or interview I can be reached on this e-mail or at 083 6666 028.

Greetings from a hot Mother City.

Maali-Malixole

Your treatment sucks

Glen, may you at the least learn to understand that all people make mistakes. I really do not think that Bra Fan's failure to read the weather in time is exactly what let to his dismissal from the show. As his contract was due in April, I believe that you wanted to do get rid of him from the moment the audience complaint about your disrespectful behaviour towards him. Anyway KB once came to the show late but was never fired. I guess your egoism attitude is killing you and you just too good to realize it brother, maybe you need to be reminded of your old days at Radio Thohoyandou, you were not that good but somebody believed in you and gave you that break. The least you could have done was to show him the door off air, because he was not hired on air. You are slowly reducing the breakfast show listeners by day because of your critics remarks Catch a wake up call brother, live does not revolve around the power that you have at the breakfast show. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND....

LEARN TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT.

YOUR TREATMENT SUCKS

Marvin-Pretoria

Hi, the great 1 and team.

Firstly I hope u will read this during the time when I am listening to yo show in the morning between 7-8am, as that is the time I'm usually on my way to work. I was listening to yo show this morning. interesting interview u had with Lesley there, on Black empowerment and AA. What u said was true how everyone just wants to be a musician not knowing the challenges especially economical. They automatically conclude being known today @ lunch time and thinking dat 2morrow morning at breakfast one will wake up rich. I am a qualified Marketer by profession, thatz what I went to school for and currently pursuing. I am currently in the Banking Industry....Car Financing with one of the bigger banks in financing in the country. I am learning a lot in my industry especially about corporate and financing in terms of economics and the challenges facing our country. I am 22yrs of age, only been working for a 1 and half after completing my studies. But my passion is to be in Advertising, Sales and Marketing in either entertainment industry (TV, Radio, Music, not as a musician or presenter of course) or working for one of the biggest FMCG companies in the country by doing branding or creative work. I have frenz in the entertainment industry, sum musicians and sum already in the corporate ladder. Its funny how everything fails in terms of our Artists only coz of poor Marketing and distribution logistics.. We have days when we brainstorm with my frenz, it is a sad case how many good ideas they seem to have in terms of their music, but its the marketing & business skill thats missing.

My reason for this e-mail. I heard Lesley saying that they need people to cum into their industry, in other departments other than as musicians. I am gifted vocally, I mean on a serious note. But from what I see from my frenz who are dying to make it in the industry that they would do just about anything. I wuld rather spend my talent in church than striving to make i in the industry, by being famous for decades and still being poor. But in that regard I would love to apply my skills and knowledge in the industry as it needs people like us especially us "Darkies" to break thru the ice, and help up where we possibly can. "Izandla ziyagezana" So I gladly submit my service and inputs to help out in the industry. If there are vacancies in Sales & Marketing. I am free to submit my CV accompanied by my experience in Banking and Financing.

Lesley said they needed graduates, people with fresh , new ideas. I was and still am that person. But it so happened I landed up a job in the banking industry instead of what I was initially passionate about when I left school. And trully speaking I am happy for all I've learnt in my current job, as it has taught me so much about business, economy, corporate, mostly to distinguish between a good deal and a bad deal. Who knows probably if I landed a job in the entertainment industry, I would have ended up like my frenz a musician......actor.......famous.........glamorous......but at the same time, stillllllllll broke. Kindly provide me with information as to whom I can speak to or forward my details....

Thanx guyz, great show, to think I used to be a Y-fm fan, I switched to yo station one day. I couldn't help but laugh at the jokes, but mostly learn a lot about life in general. Now I've switched to the all accessed breakfast show with bacon and eggs as a bonus. I digged the topic yesterday about where babies cum from. and when u said u were Kabelo's father......that was hilarious. Have a super dupa day......guys....... Melanie gal.....those tips on finances daily.....they are really eye-opening. Keep up the good work guyz..

Cheers

Hi the Great one

I have a problem, if there is one thing that I hate and want to change about my girlfriend is she always judge me wrong for example, when I am with her at the Mall, she always says I am looking at the other girls where as I know I am not , and it turn to a big argument and another thing sometimes when I say something to her she totally understand me wrong and turn that thing into a negative side and to a big argument. I think think what I need to change on my partner is insecurity and stop always taking things I say and interpreet them into an negative way.

Thanks da great one

Hi Glen and the Crew

I have recently bought a car and I was so exited that I could go anywhere I want to and I was tired of public transport, but I did not know that I was inviting problems. Firstly, on the day my car was delivered I got ticket. The Traffic Cop had some comment about my car registration before he gave me a ticket and they are always stopping me.

Secondly, I have been constantly harassed by other drivers because my car registration is not GP. Thirdly, on Friday I was involve in an accident with the Taxi. He bump into my car so hard, I wanted to cry but there were a lot of people around. This is a plea to Gauteng drivers and their Traffic Cops, please stop harassing people because they from other Provinces. By the way I am working in Gauteng I deserve to be treated with respect regardless of my car registration, beside it is a very nice car.

Jerry please talk to your guys to stop targeting people whose cars registered in other Provinces. I know I am very good driver.

From the very concerned citizen. Good day.

MTN advert You probably have seen the MTN advert where a guy catching a taxi notices lady catching another taxi. Later the taxi he is in is driving next the other one. He then decides to phone the other driver's cell and ask to speak to the lady. Well, there are 5 things that are VERY WRONG with the advert. Here they are :
1. None of the taxis is overloaded.

2. The taxi driver is wearing a seatbelt.

3. Each taxi is driving on its lane.

4. The taxi stops before the barrier line.

5. The taxi driver doesn't answer his phone when it rings. (He actually allows a passenger to answer his phone)

Hi Glenzito and the team,
you know the saying ''don't know what you got till its gone'. I think its really true.I never thought I will say
this but since I move here i England about a year ago I started missing all the loud voices on Metro now I have to listen over the internet. Radio here in England is just not black at all that means its not cool. Keep up the good work about the book reading idea, we need to uplift our people. Hey its too bad I missed the Kelly Rowland interview as i was at work, but I managed to see Beyonce at the Black awards in London. Please do me a favour and send a shout out to my
people in Umlazi and whole of Durban. Oh one more thing:there is a guy rom Seaview in Durbs who is now in Cape Town he ran away in London with lots of money he was owing the banks here, his name is Jason,he needs to come back and pay the monies.

You rock

You know i know you know the meaning of " je suis" but as a French speaker i must tell you that " I am" in position to give you the proper meaning and respond to the "Great one's" appeal. By the way i was busy at the time you were airing your super secretary competition i couldn't respond but here i must tell you guys that i enjoy your show. Your "trio" team is rocking "Je suis ja vuma" equals "I am ja vuma". I have no idea of what ja vuma is as far as you KB are concerned next time you decide to become a french healer a sangoma or simply a swindler call me i will give u more tips in our language. Le numero de mon portable est 0834238225. I hope you understand this simple phrase to start with.

Fathers being present while mothers give birth.

Good Morning Glen and the Breakfast team,

I am a woman and I still do not understand this issue of men being present while the babies mother gives birth. A lot of woman say it is a good thing for fathers to be present because they(fathers) become more attached to the baby when they are present at the birth of the child, and some women say men appreciate women more when they see what they go through when they give birth.I personally do not think it is true, I work in an engineering company and 95% of the employees there are males, if women could only hear what men feel about the whole issue, not even one man, out of all the man I have heard comment about this issue say it is a nice experience on their part. They say they are still traumatised from what they saw, some say after the first child they came up with all kind of excuses to miss the birth of the second child cause they can't stand it. They say they still bond and become attached to their children even if they were not present when they were born. Some of the men honestly confessed that they do not appreciate their women more but cheat on their wives cause of the whole experience, after seeing that whole process of the child being born, they say they just can't bring themselves to making love to them again, due to what they saw(infact due to how the baby was born). I do not go out of my way to talk about things like this, but this topics somehow come up at lunch time or tea time. I would please like to know what your listeners(especially males) feel
about this whole issue. The all access breakfast show is the best, keep up the good work guys!

Please DO NOT MENTION MY NAME on national radio.
Thank you.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.--Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.

Bear with your wives

HI Glen

Personally I don't think man divorce you because you don't wash dishes. Infect wives should divorce husband who ask about the cleanliness of the house instead of helping out the poor wife. What she is tired. Its too demanding to be a wife looking after your kid plus the old kid you married, be a lover , prostitute, councilor,
psychologist, financial & advisor , Yes Ewe Glen you have to be all that because you want your man to be happen and keep you happy, I don't have time to wash dishes my hubby knows and understands that. We have a lot of things to catch up on.

Enkosi Wetu for this chance

Morning Mahlaku, Kabelo , Melanie and the crew

Weakest Link

I would like to see political parties contents for the next elections on the weakest link. Can you imagine the following:

President Mbeki trying to think who was the leader of the Afrikaners during the Anglo Bore War Tonny Leon trying to think who was the little boy to be shot first during 1976 Soweto uprising
Dr Moeller of the freedom front trying to think how many official languages we have in South Africa including Afikaans. Can you imagine Mr.Pheko of the PAC doing the walk of shame after
Failing to answer who is the Minister of Land Affairs and Agriculture Can you imagine Kgosi Lucas mangope failing to answer how many provinces we have since the disbanding TBVC States

When is Bra Fan going to realese his Kwaito CD?

Disgusted

Good morning! My name is Zweli from Gugulethu in Cape Town. I write to you with disgust running through my body because of the documentary which was aired on SABC 1 on 08 December, 2003 about a boy from Johannesburg going to an initiation school in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape.

I speak for every man here in Cape Town when I say how disappointed I am about the screening of that show, as It showed disrespect to the culture and our Ancestors (Abaphantsi). It's no wonder why there are so many deaths in that Province in their initiation schools, the Ancestors must be turning in their graves with anger. As a regular listener of Metro FM, and you being a part of SABC, PLEASE find someone who was responsible for that particular screening for me and tell him/her not to screen such shows in the future, for the sake of our generation or give an appropriate channel where I can address matters such as these. Because as I write to you now everyone is talking and asking about that show, especially people who were not supposed to know anything about that situation in the bush, people like our mothers, sisters and boys and the other tribes, like Sothos are laughing at the Xhosas of how cheap and sell-outs they are.

And please allow me to say that here in the West, that experience has been nothing but fun and very educational, something every man is PROUD of.

By the way guys keep up the good work with your show, it's the only reason I wake up early in the morning and go to work, especially now that my cellphone has a radio, I don't miss it even when I'm on my way to work. PEACE!

PETROL PRICE

I'm concern about the petrol price what is the department of minerals and energy doing, when the rand is depreciating they are the first to comment but recently the rand is appreciating we hear nothing from them. why is the petrol price not decreasing and the price of crude oil is stable. for the last two month the petrol price was unchanged , i think we should get a reduction of R0.70 which is fair

How sturbborn are Zulu's! " Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect...It just means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections." A Zulu boy buys a lotto ticket and wins the lottery jackpot, he goes to the
post office to claim it and the man verifies his ticket number. The Zulu says, "I want my R10 million."
The man replied, "No, sir, it doesn't work that way. We give you a million today and then you'll get the rest spread out for the next 5 years." The Zulu said, "Oh, no!! I want all my money right now!! I want it and I
want it." Again, the man explains that he would only get a million that day and the rest during the next 5 years. The Zulu, furious with the man, screams out, "LOOK I WANT MY MONEY! "STOP ROAD ABUSE"

We are coming up to that time of year that a lot of people look forward to all year, the holidays. For some weird reason there seems to be a perception amongst a lot of people that since I have worked all year I deserve this break and now I am going to do what I want, when I want and how I want, and watch out anyone who gets in my way. It seems as if responsibility is thrown out of the window.

Every year we dread the reports of all the road accidents, all the lives lost, people injured and maimed, families traumatised. Accidents, no these are not accidents.

Make it your personal goal from today to drive as carefully and
responsibly as you can. Be friendly and courteous towards other drivers, no matter what their behaviour. Remember that behind the wheel of that vehicle is someone's mother or father, someone's son or daughter, someone's friend, someone's lover, and that just like you they have "bad hair days", get distracted and make mistakes.

Have the strength and the emotional maturity to give way, even when it is your right of way. The road is about the worst place to try and assert your "rights".

Hi

I think it waz gud what Kabelo did of going to find out his HIV status but then again it is questionable why he had to bring his own doctor. A part of me wants to believe that he knew that his negative status was a
negative status but then I still find it rather difficult to understand why he had to bring his own doctor . The thought of showing people and his followers that he did the test was a gud idea no doubt - but it is
questionable - maybe to ease our minds he could go for the second test in a public place and leave the doctor at his practice.

OOh yah ... about Arthur
what about arthur?
Abt Arthur - I also think it was a publicity stunt - the guy is now too desperate to get some attention - let us hope that he is not listening cos othawise I am punched ... he he he I can understand if Arthur's beef was about the paper writting about his personal life - I mean I think Arthur tries to live a private life - he is not seen attending this and that function unless he really has to but as to punching Mduduzi for writting about his professional life , I would say that is rather low. I think it goes to show that he is really desperate - the Arthur Lolo Mafokate that I know used to b confident - whetha they called him names or whateva it neva seemed to bother him becos you know what even though people used to say he sucked - they still bought his albums - the kids were still doing his dance crazes - but I guess now it is becoming unbearable that it aint happening anymore. My advice to Arthur is that he should not release an album unless he feels he really has to, unless he feels the material is gud enuff cos no matter who says what if he is confident no one will take that away from him. The rate that he is releasing albums just proves that he aint sure of himself so it is like he wants to release a lot and hope one of the songs will make it. He produced Lira, and the lady is sensational. He is a public figure who became famous for producing music and sometimes people will like and sometimes they will not - the media will criticise and they will praise where necessary it is part of the package. And can he please stop appearing on all albums that he releases at 999, whetha it was Lira, Speedy, Is'mile then or whoeva ...can he give the artists the opportunity to be on their own on the video without him ... ai .. lemme stop here othawise am gonna hav to be checking ma back !

Hi Glen and the team.

I have made the switch.....must congratulate you guys on your addictive show. Have been hooked since, since...

I was listening to you this morning when you informed people to invite you guys to their Christmas parties. You then mentioned that you will attending the party at Nkosi's haven....as my mouth was widening with a smile of appreciation...waitifiza...I do not think you were aware of this though. You pointed out that you will be spending time with....AIDS ORPHANS. I cringed. I think if you just mentioned that you will be spending time
with kids there....that would have been ok. Again I must point out that I do not think you were very conscious of the effects of this utterance hence this e-mail is not an attack but it's simply along the route of
consciousness raising.

We are battling with stigma around issues of HIV/AIDS and other issues in general.Referring to kids as AIDS orphans is a little bit negative and labelling. I am aware the public is getting used to referring to them as
such...thanks to the media. But with the amount of stigma and denial around we need to encourage positive role-models like you to use PC and positive language. This will help to normalise things.

I think we must make efforts to refer to people as people first rather than what they are..particularly if it sounds negative We do not hear people normally saying : "That straight guy drives a nice jaguar" but often hear "which one, oh the gay one!".

I hope I have made my point

Thanks for all the other wonderful and positive things I get from your show!

Not Xenophobic

Hello all

First of all I would like to make it clear that I am not xenophobic - BUT certain things that foreigners do really make you think twice. How do you come to another country, illegally and commit robberies and sell drugs.
My issue for today is what I heard yesterday when I got home - I live in town and all of a sudden I heard a loudspeaker outside , I peeped outside only to see a van with Zimbabweans inside ... shouting that all
Zimbabweans must come togetha to fight the South African Police services, cos they abuse them! This is the part where I sound xenophobic - but trully speaking Zimbabweans commit crime in the innercity - anyone who
stays in town can vouch for that, they grab your bag , ask for your fone and etc and ironically they have a problem with SAP .... I am not saying the police could be innocent - but I am acknowledging the fact that it is
most Zimbabweans who come to SA illegally and of course some cannot get a job apart from the restaurants, and maybe the police do abuse their power by gettting "extra" money from them ... but just maybe it is a price to pay , for forging identities and etc. I wish the SA police could stop taking money and valuables from these people with the background that they can neva go and report the matter anywhere since they are in SA illegally. How do they expect to have rights ? if and when the Zimbabweans come togetha what do they say ? do they say they should report the police to the police or do they say they should stop crime - I think the Minister of Safety and Security must come up with another plan to try and contain
the situation cos it is getting out of hand. On that note I would like to say bravo to the community for taking a stand towards crime, people do no longer stand and watch when a person is being robbed- the issue is whetha they should hand the person in or do justice for themselves. Talk of dilemma !

Unmanly acts.

Glen,
I k now that I am late for this topic. But I just had to inform you that my husband has the most irritating unmanly habit. O phunya diso. This is his biggest hobby. He likes it so much that he even has names for them like zits=tlou, noga, tau and the ammunition is a fine pointed ball point pen.

Now how is that for an unmanly act.

CONFIDENCE vs Bra Fanny Fans

Hi Glenzo

I am over 40, and to me young man I think your mum has done such a sterling job with your upbringing. I wish that people can take from you the positive attitude that you protray ,they confuse your confidence for rudeness.People need to look beyond, and realise that for someone who grew before the liberation you are such a great person. You have overcome so many challenges that we all have, yet you outshined some of your peers.

For the poeple who have been calling about the "Bra Fanny" issue they must just get a life and realise that we have a lot of pressing issues than someone who is so hung up about himself.I do feel that Bra Fanny
must be the one who should treat you with respect then only can that ruboff on you.We earn respect not demand it because we think we are elders, that is why the saying goes"Children need to be heard" because our generation failed to do that.Communicating with our kids has been our downfall for the moralistic behaviour of the kids today but I can guarantee you that your mum, did instill respect for adults that is why you are where you are today.

Keep on bra don't let negative people bring you down.Keep your confidence it's good for the next generation to know that we are Black and proud of it.With pride comes a better nation and you are the one person who
reminds us that we are better than our counterparts.

NB: That is why you got the award my son.

Number 1 Fan (following your career from the time you started).

The great Team

The great one and your team,

You guys are the best thing that has ever happened to this station. Every morning on my way to work i don't even notice that i am stuck in traffic. Bro Fan (or whatever way you spell it), your moaning and graoning about
being called Bro makes me laugh DADDY. The great one....you never cease to amaze me, it does not matter where you are placed, you just make sure you do the best out of it and Mel....thanks for always defending women when those guys attack us because we are not there to defend ourselves.

Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

Hi Glenzito, Melany, TT & Bra Fanny;

Today on Melanie's news Headlines there was a story about body-parts-trafficking. I would like us to discuss that. Probably we will be setting a precedent to the parliament for such a discussion.

The majority of black people can not afford to have life cover policies and this lives behind the shame to their love ones when they pass away. SO why don't this country make it a LAW that one can chose whether he/she want to donate the organs or he/she want to SELL the organs in order to leave some money to the love ones.

Glen let's face it, There is a Guy who has money, why should he DIE because of organ failure instead of paying R300,000 and get a new kidney from a guy who died "poor but rich in health".

Most of the people they got rich because of the inheritance or life insurance pay-outs. So why don't we give chance to those poor guys instead of MILKING THEM out through the LOTTO and other false hopes or unrealistic hopes.

I am get hot, Glen, I have to rest my case. Have a nice day guys.

Hi Glen

I'm responding to Monday's Tonight in the Star. You were referred to and admitted to being boring. If you were as boring as you say you are most of us wouldn't be listening to your breakfast show, it would be boring, wouldn't it?

We do not want to hear negative comments by bored journalists and don't be so boring by admitting to it.

South African Men

Zulu man : They are learnered not educated. Big heads. Like to be worshipped. They take women for granted. A woman is just a maid to them and a sex object.

Tswana man: They are giving because their women are demanding. For them to get money from a woman is showing that you are not man enough.

Xhosa man: They are very stingy, prefer to get money from a woman than giving a woman money. Won't even buy a gift for a woman, if they do it's either his woman gives him money in the form of ndiboleke which she'll not get it back again. Or else if his woman is asking for money he'll say baby that's the last R20,00 you see. Or else if it's a R100 note idibene sana. They get married at an old age because they are still working for their mothers.

Shangaan man: Like polygamous marriage. They are givers by nature. They do everything in extremes (Good/Bad).

Swati man: Smooth talkers, best charmers. They like to progress before they go into marriage. They won't marry a woman with an eligitimate child. They are possessive about their belongings. Like polygamous marriages eg King Mswati III as a result Swaziland has the 2nd highest rate in the epidermic HIV & Aids. A woman doesn't have a value to them. They work for their parents, sisters and their brothers, but caring less for their inlaws.

Pedi man: Loud speakers, like attention. They like to get married. They play big, but stupid. They like fong-kong imitation leatheret clothes

You guys are great

Morning all,

I just want to take a moment and let you know that you guys are the best, I know I'm not the first one to say this and you know that but I will tell you anyway, YOU ROCK MY WORLD!!!

Glen, Hhayi ngiyakuvuma...when ever I go clubbing and knowing that you are gonna be there :) you really know how to do your thing and we Durbaners just love you too much (don't worry Tira and Syanda, you are still my boyz..hee..hee)

When I see you I can't help but wanna come hug you, I mean every Teddy Bear loves that hey (with "clean intensions of' course") but with my fiancé around I just let it slide..he is very jalousie of you cos women
just love you hheyi!! Between me and you I really do love your work and the energy and its not even like you are working.

I enjoyed the show this morning and it was so silly when I stopped at the traffic lights and these oaks in a taxi must have thought I was bananas :) Scary how we are not afraid f death and we are so ignorant about HIV & AIDS..I just really do worry and I don't think there is any thing more that can be taught, its clear that people just don't care and even when you know that your best friend is fading away..it just...Phwwee! In any
case..

TT..I love the way you say (My darlings) crazy!! Hhayi when you do that Secretary stunt you just out -do me!

You guys are really doing a great job and your boss should treat you like GOLD! See you in Durban soon..wait I will see you..(:)

Have a great day and keep rocking.

Hello Breakfast Team

I really like today's topic coz I'm also one of those ladies who are dating a younger guy. Well I'm 28 and he's 22 and the age difference doesn't bother us at all. He made the first move and when he started I thought my goodness this child, what in the world can he do but hey he can do a lot and I mean a lot, he's a responsible individual. He is the reason why I love hip hop today and yes Glen we do go out to malls, parties and clubs hand in hand and I love him to bits! My mother has a problem with our relationship but hey that's her problem
really , I'm living my life the way I want. His family on the other hand is very supportive and have no problem at all about us. No he doesn't ask me for money and neither do I, we're both working and share the costs whenever we go out.

Well, that's all for now folks, keep up the good work and thank you for the wonderful show.

I'm so glad I made the switch to the All Access Breakfast Show.

Trophy hubbys or boyfriends

Hi Glen,

Yesterday you were talking about relationships between an elder woman and a young guy. I just want to share my sad experience with you. I am a woman of 43 and involved with a 33 year old and matured guy. I didn't know about his age because he doesn't look young, he is a guy I don't mind to go places with. When I entered into this relationship I asked him his age and he said he was 39 and I was 42 by then. I believed him because his late wife was 39 when she passed away ( I saw her age from the tombstone when we visit for cleaning). I thought 3 years was nothing and we cruised and we were both crazy and happy. After a year I discovered his age and I didn't know how I felt (disappointed, stupid, angry, upset and confused). I didn't believe this had happened to me because I was disapproving these types of affairs to my friends. He tried to explain that he didn't tell me his age because he knew that if I knew I wouldn't fall for him. It was a painful process for me because I was looking at myself running crazy for a young man. I was thinking of all the things we do together and to think that the young man drives me crazy made me feel stupid. On the other hand I love him so much and on the other I feel guilty that he is young. I was thinking of his parents what do
they think of me. It would be better if I knew his age and made my decision based on my feelings. I ended up forgiving him because the only mistake I didn't want to commit was to dump him knowing very well that I was
still in love with him, I didn't want to punish myself. At the moment we are happy together.

I've made the switch

Howzat guyz? I've made the switch 2 da ALL ACCESS BREAKFAST SHOW!!!!!!!
I have quiet a few comments.
1. It is a WOMAN's world, I just love the way Mel kicks ya'll's butts.

2. The show ROCKS!!!!! and everyone just brings a special iets'nyana to it. I actually missed T.T when he was in Nigeria.

3. Where is Goodman the Pimp? I still think KB is the guy.

4. KB, I love ur impersonations on the super secretary thing, especially GALEO. Ur good!

5. Congrats Glenzo on yo award.

6. Can somebody PLEASE ask MOMMY/MUMMY/MAMI (whatever her name is) the correspondent from US to speak like she actually wants us to hear what she's saying, I'm a pedi woman and this rolling tongue thing flies over my head.

7. I don't mean to be rude, but malome Phanuel also needs to speak clearly. Sometimes I can't make out what he is saying.

8. Lastly, to the people who were complaining about Glenzito's treatment of malome Phanuel, these people are just playing it is not a real argument/clash/fight, you don't have to be so serious. If this was a real fight, one of them would be off-air, just ask Kenny Maistry. Do you honestly think that the management would sit back and let them have a real go at each other? Phoooolllleeeeese!!!!!!!!!!

I'm done whinning, guyz KEEP IT UP!! I love what you do, your show, your guests and your music. P.S. Kabelo, if Glen makes references to ur dental formula again, tell him that atleast u can close ur mouth, nothing is covering his nose. As for mmane Brenda calling you ugly, all I have to say is 'baa goleka buti!!'.

Estee Lauder

Hi there guys and gal

Women need to be cherished, loved, pampered and to be independant. This need a lot of strength and confidence.

My friends call me pampers cause my man takes me out a lot and really spoils me. He spoils me with Estee luder productsp, and my girlfriends believe he gets tips from girlfriends, and I always laugh, as I think those girlfriends, if they are there, loves me a lot to make me smell good for my man, as we spend most of our time together!

I feel good knowing there's someone who always compliments me & give his soul to me, I'M BLESSED!!

who is next Glen???????

The breakfast team

I know guys this thing of Glen and Bra Fan has bored you guys by now.But I too has something to add.

Guys remember how Glen used to treat Jerry? He talked to him like Jerry was under his Mercy or something. Then it was G child that one I don't even have to say alot about it.because Glen Bro you talked to G as is he was a little boy or something.THEN now the tables has turned to poor old Bra Fan.Glen when are you planning to stop disrespecting other peoples feelings.I guess like you said you want to raise the listener ship for you show you start to act like Mr MC Mahon but remember this wrestling is just for entertainment radio is real life.

But the big question I have is who is next Glen on you list ?????

from Mags in Bloemfontein thanks for the weather in Bloem.

I think uguys rock especially The Great One.Bra Fan u rock too but I think u r as old as the rocks.Other DJs have tried crowding up the studio with teir chomies everyday and they got FIRED, yo team Glen is the best. I was with u in the Power Breakfast Show, I was with u in The Ride, and now I`ve made a switch to the All Access Breakfast Show.

U have the makings of an entertainer Glen. I hope u r earning more than everyone in that house. If u were leave I wuld make a switch to East Coast Radio.

Vukani in Toti(Dbn) Messege for Azanya - The Weakest Link

Hi

During the week Azanya was encouraging more black people to enter to be contestant of the weakest link. I think that its great that black people enter but I was disappointed not to see any of the metro fm DJ on this
week. I think that it is important that the DJ set the pace for all the listeners.

Hope this is taken in good light.

Keep up with the good work you and your team are doing!! It's refreshing to wake up to a good breakfast before going off to work.

On your afternoon show you had the Gate-Crashers list. What do you call DJ's? I think this deserves to be a Blacklist Affair on you breakfast show. It was something that my pals and I found very strange to see 8
people abusing a German Sedan. DJ Fresh was launching his CD in Durban over the weekend. We were outside when this overloaded hired C180 Merc arrived. The following climbed out:

DJ Fresh
DJ Monde
Badboy T
Unathi
And 4 other people.

I just wanted to say that SHAME ON YOU!!!!! Y-FM deejays.

Like I said this deserves to be Blacklist Affair.

Keep up the good work The Teddy One

Bra Fan

Dear Glen

I do not understand this. If "bra Fan" insists on being called "bra Fan" then he cannot demand respect as he is not respecting himself as an elderly person. If he wants you to respect his age then call him "Oom
Fan" which will be more appropriate. We all should respect our elders and therefore you did the right thing by apologizing.

"OOM FAN" please act your age what's this "BRA" thing. In the townships friends call each other "bra" as a slang. Leave this "tsotsi" attitude, it does not fit your age, UNCLE.

Regards.

Bra Fen...

I have a question for Glen
Do u sometimes forget to call your mother "Mom" and call her by her name? In high school, did you forget to call the teacher "Sir" or "Ma'am" and call them by their first names? Please man, there is no way you could forget to call Fernwell "Bra Fen" unless you really don't want to call him that. Or are you suffering from Alzheimer...seeing you are older that you fellow DJ's? Are u really making your mother proud?

To Bra Fen
Get a back bone man and beat the hell out of this laaitie who is showing you such disrespect.
If you let him roll all over you like this no wonder he's so disrespectful.
Get a backbone before I also loose some respect....

today's topic

hi melanie, glen & tt

I hope this email will still reach you on time, I would like also to give my opinion on the topic shared this morning, yes it is true what melanie also said that single men not to say they have or make more money, it is just at their disposal because some have no responsibilities like married men.

It is true to that they tend to spend unneccessary on wants than on needs, and at the end of the day they dont know what they did with their money, while married men know that they spend on budget and will have always have extra on when there is an emengency , singles you still have a lot to learn .i just say thanks i got married, then i dont have to also sukkel with men batlanneng ba batla go tlatswa when there nothing to spend, now i go 50/50 with my husband,

Ha hona hore i spend more that you did, because both you went equal, and at the end both are happy,

thanks and enjoy your day from

RESPECT!

Good morning all

Free Limo Ride or No Limo Ride (angis'bhayi)

I really enjoy listening to Bra Phen do the weather and I was also very upset with the way Glen was 'dising' Bra Phenuel(sp). I strongly feel that he has taken the joke - if it was meant to be a joke - too far, ok we got
your point Glen, you got the man the job but do you have to tell the nation how much he's being paid? This is very disappointing, especially for someone who comes from a Venda upbringing. I mean Venda people are
respectful and I know you know what I'm talking about Glen, you cannot say "inwi" to an older person, you have to say "vhone", so please give this man the respect you learnt from your upbringing! I cannot believe that
dispite the efforts of your colleagues to call you to order you still carried on like nothing was wrong - you were wrong Glen! - be a man about it and change your ways!!!

Thank you

Thami Zwane

I think Glen need to understand that is high there because of people and he can be taken down by the same people. It was not nice what he did to Bra Fan he need to be respectfull of elders. Lucky from CT.

i's listening to u glen yes'day!~! u really shoudn't havespoken to fenwell

Awards

I'm really dissappointed by the SABC.They go all out to bring us recorded mtv awards but here we have metrofm awards in their fourth year and they havent even once televised them. I odnt know how the whole process of
getting rights goes but i'm quite sure there's a lot of negotiating between the award organisers and the station. I think its time the SABC showed it patriotism and screen metro fm awards coz they are even hotter than the
samas.cum'on peter matlare.

Guys and doll

"I've made the switch to the all access breakfast show".

Greetings to all of you.
YOU guys are just wonderful indeed, you are doing the good show and I'm just appreciating that.
So many positive things that you offer us and off course your humour just finishes me off.

KB- men you are going far with those super secretaries and 'Galeo take it off it just makes my day lekker '...
Glen- You have found your purpose, just keep on pushing and don't let anything or anyone get into your way
Mel- you are the rose there my dear...keep on being the shining star.

Keep up with good work, may God bless you always.

not enough local music

HOWZT, I am so disappointed at metro fm for not playing local music,yu guys
yu play 99% American music and 1%,I don't understand why I thought that yu
guys support local music.and as for metro fm awards why invite local
people with local music while you wont even give them awards because they were not even in the nomination list,it is unfair. Plz think about this.

PMS/Periods

Hi Guys

I want to respond to Glenzito's statement about us women not mentioning that we are on our periods before the trip. I just want guys to understand because it is true,Glen. When we are on our periods we still want to be loved, entertained etc.so if you tell a guy that it's that time of the month chances are he will not take you to wherever that weekend. If he finds out when you are there,he's not going to send you back home.

I used to see my ex on weekends only b'cos of the distance and on those 'period' weekends I never told him until we got to his place b'cos I still wanted to be with him.He used to be very unimpressed with me then he knew my cycle.

Have a good day and study your woman's cycle.

Jerry

Glen and the crew ,I always thought people are now using condoms but to my surprise to find that so many people who are not married are pregnant.Especially here in UWC I think its some kind of a fashion.I have
never seen so many pregnant people after any winter than this one .May be this winter was very cold nhe!!!. .Listeners don't take personal the thing of Fanuel coz I know something that many of you don't know.

To Jerry is it true that if a person want pass his licence test easy he should come on the month end ( when abo Jerry are getting paid)especially if the month end is on Friday(they want to go and drink).?
Jerry why Glen do not gooi your picture on the break fast site .Now I already have my own imaginary Jerry bcoz I DONT KNOW WHAT YU LOOK LIKE.? Why yu have your own jingle b4 the traffic up date while the other traffic officers dont.? Jerry one time Glen complained that yu dont attend when they invited yu
why ? R yu afraid to be acelebrity?

WHO IS THAT GUY AND DOES HE LIVE IN THE PAST

Hi Glenzito and the ALL ACCESS BREAKFAST SHOW CREW!!!!

My name is Nozipho Shembe and I live in Durban. This morning (4 Nov) I was listening to your show (which by the way absolutely rocks). This morning you were talking about girls who dress up really nice (in fly outfits) and how guys feel about it especially when they go out and other brothers don't seem to know how to keep their eyes off them. Anyway to get to the point, that guy that phoned in and said something about underwear being underwear ( the one that said girls ask to be raped because of the way they dress) all I want to say is that just because a sister is wearing something that is very revealing she deserves to be attacked(raped). To me that just goes to show how narrow minded some people are and unfortunately its people like him that give the rest of men a bad name. It's people like him that make our woman abuse statistics so high.As a woman I would never like someone to tell me that just because I am dressed in a certain way it means that I need some jerk to come and rape me, that brother needs help in a big way. Imagine if all ladies went around raping everyman they saw wearing fly outfits ( I think he needs to seriously check himself before he ever speaks so much rubbish over national radio). As a black woman that made me feel so angry to think that there is some guy out there who thinks that sisters who dress up in fine outfit, who choose to express themselves through their outfits ask to be raped, nobody deserves to hear that kind of garbage ever and I really feel for that brother, deeply and honestly.

Anyway sorry to bore you with my thoughts for the day. By The way you guys are doing a super duper fly job and my younger sister and I think you are the most amazing thing ever. So to you and your posse keep doing your thing and keeping it real for the brothers and sisters that listen to you every day.

STAY STRONG MY BROTHER!!!!

Kabelo- Zonke

Hi Glen
I'm a no 1 fan of the A.B.S and I like the music and the topics you and your team discuss However I have a concern and maybe I'm not the only one, Why must we hear Kabelo's songs every morning e.g Zonke, Back in Business, etc ?

Fanwel and his voice would have made a perfect combination with the late Barry White, Maybe he should go try his luck in the next Pop stars talent search.

Thank you.

Glen, might I point out to you that you asked for the ridicule you got this morning about facially challenged people...one of the things you do well is ragging other people...I find you very entertaining, but I think some people just grabbed the chance to give you back your own medicine. I personally believe that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and even though I haven't met you, but I've seen you at a function....I can safely
say that you're not an "eyesore" and yeah I can see why women would find you sexy!!!!!! Even the most beautiful person can look like an ugly duckling bacon of their arrogant, chauvinistic ways....I think all you
guys are COOOL & STUNNING...you start my day with a colgate smile!!!!

Ciao, ciao for now!!

Greatest Invention

Hi there guys,

On Tuesday the 3rd, you held a topic about the inventions which people can't live without. Well mine happens to be money. I believe that money is the greatest invention of all and it's only those who are still living in
the Stone Age that can maybe, and I repeat maybe, live without it. The thing is, for one to acquire any of the other inventions you mentioned on your show, no matter what it is, you'll need money. Money is all around us
guys, and without it, I dread to think where we'd be. So Big Up to whoever that came up with that concept.

Trevor

Party At Monsoon Lagoon

Hi,

Guys I must thank you for inviting me to that ROCKOUS Party. Thank you!
Thank you! Thank you!

KB aka Joey Goodman - you are the SEXIEST PIMP ALIVE, especially in that
suite...

Mel - as a lady, I can't really comment on how you looked but I was
impressed with your effort to REVEAL for this awareness campaign. And
hey - you can dance...

Nic - somebody once told me that he was cute, but I realised that no,
he's not cute - HE IS HOT!!!! I went to him trying to introduce myself - but
the brother was hectic. So I missed that opportunity (coz I ended up on
the dance-floor).

Glen - "you son of a gun" you must never start something if you know
that you not gonna finish it!!!! You hook up a party then you don't pitch!
That's low (but it's understandable - you known as a BUZYMAN).

TT - welcome back, I hope Nigeria treated you good.

Anyway the Festive Season has officially started, so I hope to see you
at the Parties around the Country.

Keep up the GOOOOOD Work.

Metro rocks

Hi all,

My name's Rui and I am a great admirer of your excellent radio station. I was born in Mozambique and lived there for 28 years before coming to Portugal 5 years ago. I used to listen to your station all day. My friends and I listen to it as if it was the only station on the planet. Between 1987 and 1989, we would listen to a night program in which a presenter would get phone calls from listeners. I can't exactly remember his name, but I guess it sounded like "Treasure" or "Trevor". Great show.
Can you please tell me who the presenter is and if he's still at your radio station? If not, has he moved to another radio station? Now I can listen again to your radio station thanks to the Internet.
Ain't life grand?

Thanks for any answers and keep up the excellent work.
"Metro FM is not everything. It's the ONLY thing".

Your fan,

What women want................

Hello!

First of all, this is my view of life...........
In life there's 4 balls that a person should cherish.
The first one is a rubber ball, which always bounces back whenever we drop it, and the other 3, are our relationships, friendship and family. These 3 balls are very essential in a sense that, they are crystal balls.

The problem with them is that when they fall they shatter and we can never get them back, If we mend them they can never retain their smooth surface, so they are never the same again.

Therefore as a human being this applies in my life, and what I want is to live happily with those around me.
I need to have a healthy relationship with my partner, my friends and my family. I also need to know that I can be able to rely on my career for
survival!

If I can keep this balance of life, then I'm there:3/4. I need to be appreciated, I need my happiness, I need to be dignified, I need to be emotionally strong, but not be stoic. I need love, I need to have balance in my life and I need to be respected. With the latter principle I can achieve the above, and to be:4, in other words, to be complete, I need to smell divine, and I need to look extravagant. Estee Lauder can do this for me, if I win this voucher I can therfore continue to be a superwoman, Something like stopping the traffic kind...........
That's what I want, 100% feminine.

Regards
Esther Maserumule

Glenzo

Good morning to you and your crew. I feel relationships should not be
about the status but LOVE, nothing but LOVE. Let's get into it with the
aim of giving love, teaching, appreciating and most of all growing
together in it with respect. The rest will follow.

Omar Leseane

Good morning!

I personally think that two, complete, people in a relationship should compliment each other; because there is no way two incomplete people can complete each other. Each person in a relationship should have an
understanding of who they are, what they want from a relationship & how to go about getting what they want.
I also think that two people in a relationship should be at the same level, of understanding, so that there can be an equal & fair challenge. I mean an executive manager @ a successful firm & a 19 year student, there is just no challenge.

So I think that when looking to make a relationship work, one must find someone who can support you, someone to share meaningful convesations with & most importantly, someone who knows that money & material possessions do not make a relationship work because they can be lost in a split second.

What women want

Heres my take on what women want (hope you are still running the competition)

Women need to be able to:

CRY, whenever we have failed at something be it a test or not, when we get dumped by someone we love. All of these without being labeled as weak by our male counterparts-this is an expression of our emotions.

SMILE,whenever we experience the joy of lovemeking, the tenderness of a newly-born babys' skin, whenever we are having a good day. All of these without societys' pressure on us to be polite-this is an expression of the awareness of the world around us.

BE JEALOUS, when our friends get the tight pants that neither looked good on us nor fit us at half the price, when our best friend gets the boyfriend we can only dream about and have the nerve to get married before
we do. All of this without being called a bitch-this is an expression of our wants, hopes and dreams.

GET ANGRY, and go campaingn whenever we hear news of women abuse and sexual abuse on children, the fact that our significant others forgot the anniversary of the day we first kissed. All of this without being called
feminists and sensitive-this is an expression of our disgust and dislikes.

GET EXCITED AND GO WILD, whenever there is a 50 % sale at woolworths, when we have a really loud girls nite out at a male-strip bar, when we realise we love our man and all his imperfections. All of this without being called unlady-like-this is a true expression of being who were are.

These are just some of the things women want and deserve to do without societys' labels put on them.

Thanks

Sincerely

Lerato Mmusi

Hi guys

First of all, your show is the best. Listening to all of you in the morning on my way to work brightens my
day.

I just need your opinion on something.

Why is it that when you leave your job to go to another one, your boss becomes impossible. I have seen it happen before to other people in the company and now it is my turn to resign and when I told her she just lost it. First she ask if she cannot meet the offer that my new employer is offering because she cannot afford to lose me and when I told her no, she just lost it.

She is now giving me the silent treatment, not talking to me, asking other people about things that she knows that only I know about them.

It is frustrating to be in an environment like this. Next week is my last week & I cannot wait to be out of
here. I feel like I have committed a crime.

Please let me know what you think & I would love to know what the other listeners are thinking.

Distraught

I've made the switch to the all breakfast show Glen, Mel and KB

Women want to be loved, respected, appreciated but most of all they want to be sexy, vibrant and with the Estee Lauder they can be just that, it all a woman needs.

Moms
Dear Glen and team (Breakfast Show)
I did not make the switch as I have always listened to metro fm even before it was called radio metro.
I listen to this show every morning when I'm on my way to work between 06h30 and just after the 7am news. I always laugh and am sure other motorists wonder that what is she laughing at because when it comes to
secretaries' competition, that's where u kill me.

I enjoyed this morning's topic about moms but couldn't get thru but I thought I will e-mail Glenzo when I get to the office. Here is my story: Glen being a single divorced mom (her 30's) of 2 girls ages 7 (grade1) and
9 (grade3) it frustrates a lot when it comes to nanny's. They are so disappointing to an extend that u change them monthly like undies. The frustrating part is that there are emotions involved here: the kids get so
much used to this woman and then she does her own thing and you fire her, come another one same old stories. It's October now and I had the 4th already. She did a mistake in her 1st month and I warned her very strongly and told her to do better or else she will hit the road. Nannies think that they are doing us favours when working for us meanwhile we are here to help each other. Glen had I had my way I would work ½ day so that when the kids come back from school I should be there to take care of them. This is sickening to
think if I'll ever find her there or not. Another incident, my friend's nanny left a 6 year and an 11 year old on weekend for the boyfriend or something, never told the truth.

If only we could get a way of dealing with our kids especially the toddler's moms because it's not easy as you come from work after being stuck on traffic, then it's homework, cooking, uniform to be cleaned,
can't cope........
Thanks for the great show.

Truth & Lies In The War on Terror

In light of the programme which was broadcasted by e-tv -3rd degree to b precise where John Pilger was interviewing and taking us aback to what transpired in Afghanistan in an act of terror where America alleged to be acting for its democracy - I could not help but wonder whether Mugabe could be right or wrong in his dealings or lack thereof with America. I rememba the statement by Mugabe saying to Blair he should concentrate on his America and he will concentrate on his Zimbabwe - and maybe Mugabes ways don seem right and appropriate but it sure takes guts for him to stand up on America. I am not political guru but I keep my ears on the ground - It is rather disturbing to hear how Libya , Somalia, Angola to name just a few used to "dine" with Americans but then the Americans acted against them. It is horrible to hear how much certain Americans were not for the idea of the war but the war went ahead in the name of Democracy. It is questionable what democracy actually means - if a President does not really represent his people. Half the Americans interviewed were against the bombings but they did take place. South Africa was also one of the
countries which was against the bombings but hell no ... America did not listen. Makes you wonder who sits and make the rules .. is it Bush himself ... I mean alone ? Saddam clearly did not have armaments so why was he really killed ... I always believed that the journalists have a lot to do with it as well .. but then again for a certain publicist to exist in a certain country it cannot be seen to be against. I am just wondering if I will be able to tell my grandchildren about Bush .. same way I am told the stories of them Verwoerd and the otha late presidents.

I think South Africans must stop looking up to America - we are aware what America is capable of - let us be proud of being us ... I could actually go on en on about this but am just gonna leave it at this..

If the people who make America ... I mean the so called Americans stand in and vote and vote Bush out they would get their democratic rights back .. unless of course we think they have no say.

what women want

I know most women would say they want honesty, trust & loyalty but this is such a cliche!! Yes,this a good basis 4 a solid relationship but,in essence what most women want especially I,is GOOD SEX !! Come on ladies be honest now ,we tend to devote the greater part of our lives going out there looking good strutting our stuff 2 attract that 1 Adonis that we think would actually do it 4 us in bed!!!!!hHA HA HA!!!After all that is
the first thing that comes 2 mind whether male or female & i dare you to disagree!!!We all know how great the sex is in the initial stage of any relationship....yes ladies this is really what we all want......WE ALL
WANT THAT LUSTFUL PASSIONATE INITIAL STAGE OF ANY RELATIONSHIP 2 ALWAYS REMAIN!!!! Coz ladies that is when we r floundering in our own insane dimensions thinking this is the one only to come crashing down after a few months...hence the cycle repeats itself. So if on 1 glorious day ! I could find that 1 Adonis that would give me all the SEXISFACTION i need 4 as long i want. Be it like the British AIRWAYs slogen(10 hours a day, 7 days a week both ways) would have eventualy found what every woman on this planet wants....namely....INCREDIBLY GOOD SEEEEEXXXX!!!!! PARENTS' LOVE

Morning Glen and the Breakfast crew, Our input (myself and my wife) on the above topic is something that was on the 19.30 news on Saturday evening.

There is a university student currently in a Durban hospital paralysed from the neck down. He went surfing I think last Friday 17 October 2003. Apparently he usually surfed in an area that was often reasonably deep.
Unfortunately, as per weather experts, changes in seasons have an effect in the movement of sand dunes in the sea such that depth in the water will fluctuate from one season to the other. The student was not aware of this and as he surfed, he hit a sand dune and sustained three fractures in the spine resulting into him being paralysed.

How do you think his parents might have received such devastating news?? It hit us hard!!!!

Adolphus

The worst thing abt being a mother

Goodmorning , I'm not a mother I have a nephew who is 5 and I hv been around him ever since he was born and the worst thing about being a mother or mane in my case I can imagine and I have felt ,is seeing
your child / my nephew sick. Often I wish it can just be me not him sick.
Have you ever seen a baby of a few months cogested , nostrils with mucous , crying to communicate pain and yet you don't know what to do for him . Now that he can talk and can verbalise his pain either than
giving him pain medication I kiss the pain away now 5 sometimes he just giggles coz I have a feeling he is aware that kissing him won't take away the pain. But hey I can't wait to be a mother

Hi Glenzito,
Here are the answers to all your questions:-
WOMEN FEEL GOOD WHEN THEY LOOK GOOD.
THEY CANNOT LOOK GOOD IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE CLOTHES THAT'LL MAKE THEM
LOOK GOOD.
So what's the best thing that they do?
THEY GO SHOPPING
So can u imagine if there's a sale on?
THEY WOULDN'T MISS IT FOR THE WORLD.
Women need to get different shoes and accessories to go with or to match
the different clothing items they have(And to brag about them as well)
THAT'S WHY WE HAVE LOTS AND LOTS OF SHOES AS WELL AS ACCESSORIES.
(To attract men as well......ha...ha....ha)
GOING SHOPPING IS THERAPEUTIC IN THE SENSE THAT U FORGET ABOUT ALL YOUR
WORRIES AND ONLY THINK ABOUT SPOILING YOURSELF (Even if one does that
every month - it's their money right?)
So, what do women really want?
TO BE SPOILED ROTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanx
Lumka

Hi Glen Mel and KB

Just wanted to let y'all know that I just love your show! I think Glen can teach some of the up and coming DJ's, who think they are the opposition :)a thing or two about
professionalism. I like the way I as a listener can never tell what mood you are in on any given day. You remain your energetic and enthusiastic self everyday and although you were grumbling a bit about waking up in the mornings when the show just sarted - I think you really are more of a morning person. As for Mel, the opening bell is the bomb and you sound like someone who does her research and you know what you are talking about when talking to those experts, and asking the relevant questions.

As for this morning's question on money or power. I'd rather have power cos that means I can influence the important decisions by making sure that not only I make
good money but everyone else in the organisations gets paid fairly, they are treated well and that more jobs are created. For me money without power means only I am happy, but power means I have the means to make a difference in other people's lives. I think this is one of the answers to your question of What Women Want. Women want to make this world a better place for everyone who lives in it.

Keep up the good work y'all! It's a great show!
Judith Nsuntsha

Hi guys.
I write this letter with sadness written all over my face. It's all thanks to the producers of the sabc1 variety music show "one". They axed noy only a drop dead goegeous chick on t.v,but a multi taleneted one too,Claire Mawisa and they retained a rather useless, boring Masello with no taste no fashion. Her presenting skills need some working on,could someone voluntarily give her some prersenting lessons. The breakfast Team

Did you guys see the Sunday Sun news paper? Well I did and I  totally disagree with what that guy has to say about our 2003 Coca Cola pop stars. Well lets start about what he said about Karabo,he said that Karabo is trying to act like Pam former 101 member,Thats not true Karabo is just being herself and I know that most of the people will  agree with me when I say that Karabo ROCKS and her  boops wow!!  I wouldn't mind having sexy boops  like that. He said that Thembisile should lose weight, does weight count when you are talented? If Thembisile is comfortable on what she has, then just live her alone. Did you hear what he said about  Itumeleng? he said Tumie took SK's place that might be true but the man(Tumie) has talent and he is cute. Then he  said that Refiloe is only there because Khensani likes her.Dah!!
she was not  the only judge. And man if want to know what ADELAH means You should have watched the show.

from Mags in Bloem.
thanks for the weather guys.
